Quick Answers

The four things organisers ask before booking a party bus in Seattle — answered plainly.

What is a party bus?

A party bus is a chauffeured coach converted for celebrations: wraparound leather seating instead of rows, standing room down the centre, club-grade sound, LED and laser lighting, a chilled bar area with ice and glassware, and a privacy partition between the cabin and the chauffeur.

How much does a party bus cost in Seattle?

Party bus hire starts at $249 per hour for a 20-passenger bus, $289 for a 28-passenger and $329 for our 40-passenger coach, each with a four-hour minimum. A typical five-hour Saturday night in a 20-passenger bus is about $1,245, which works out near $62 per guest.

How many people fit on a party bus?

Our buses seat 20, 28 and 40 passengers. As a rule, book for your actual headcount rather than the maximum — a group of 22 is far more comfortable on the 28-passenger bus once coats, bags and standing room are accounted for.

Can you drink on a party bus in Washington?

Yes. Washington law permits passengers aged 21 and over to consume alcohol in the rear cabin of a licensed chartered party bus. We supply ice, glassware and bottled water; you bring sealed beverages. Open containers are never permitted near the chauffeur, and we card anyone who looks under 30.

The Night Starts When the Doors Close

Most group nights out lose an hour to logistics — three cars leaving at different times, somebody circling Capitol Hill for parking, two people stuck waiting at the second bar while the rest are still at the first. A party bus removes all of it. One pickup, one vehicle, one group, and the travel between venues becomes part of the evening rather than a gap in it.

Our buses are built for that: wraparound leather seating so everyone faces each other, standing room down the middle, Bluetooth sound you control from your own phone, LED and laser lighting, and a chilled bar area already stocked with ice, glassware and bottled water when you board.

Behind the partition is the part that actually matters. A licensed, background-checked chauffeur drives the whole night, knows which Belltown blocks have a legal loading zone at 11 p.m., and gets everyone home afterwards. Nobody draws the short straw, and nobody makes a bad decision at closing time.

Party Bus Questions, Answered

Direct answers to what organisers ask us most. Anything else, our dispatch desk is staffed 24 hours a day.

How far in advance should I book a party bus in Seattle?+
Six to eight weeks for summer Saturdays, prom season in April and May, and the December holiday period, because we hold the specific bus for your date. Midweek nights and winter months can often be arranged within a week, and our dispatch desk will always tell you honestly what is still free.
Is there a minimum rental time?+
Four hours for every party bus, which is the shortest window that realistically covers a pickup, two or three stops and the run home. Stretch limousines have a three-hour minimum if your group is under sixteen and you would prefer a shorter night.
Can we extend the booking on the night?+
If the bus has no reservation immediately after yours, you can add hours on the spot at the same hourly rate. Ask your chauffeur and they will clear it with our 24-hour dispatch desk in a couple of minutes.
What is included in the hourly rate?+
The chauffeur, fuel, tolls, parking, ice, glassware, bottled water, the sound system and the lighting. Nothing is metered separately and waiting between stops is not charged extra — the quoted hourly figure is the whole cost of the vehicle.
Can we bring our own music and drinks?+
Yes to both. Every bus has Bluetooth so one person can run the playlist from their phone, and guests aged 21 and over may bring sealed beverages for the rear cabin. We provide ice, coolers and glassware so nothing has to be carried in loose.
Do you run party buses for under-21 groups like prom?+
We do, and those charters are strictly alcohol-free. The bar area is emptied before pickup, the chauffeur confirms the agreed itinerary with the organising parent or school, and we provide a direct contact number for chaperones throughout the night.
What are the rules on board?+
Everyone stays seated while the bus is moving, no smoking or vaping inside, no open containers near the chauffeur, and no confetti, glitter or anything adhesive. Decorations such as banners, sashes and balloons are welcome and our chauffeur will help fit them.
Is there a deposit, and what happens if we cancel?+
A deposit secures the specific bus and chauffeur for your date and is non-transferable. Cancellations made more than fourteen days ahead can usually be rescheduled to another date — call dispatch on (206) 615-5466 and we will work it through with you.
Where can the party bus pick us up and drop us off?+
Anywhere with a legal loading zone across the 37 Washington cities we serve, including homes, hotels, offices, Sea-Tac Airport and the Pier 91 and Pier 66 cruise terminals. For venues with tight access we scout the drop-off point in advance and text you the exact spot.
Are your party buses licensed and insured?+
Seattle Limo Service is fully licensed in Washington state and every bus carries commercial liability insurance. The fleet is inspected, cleaned and sanitized between bookings, and certificates of insurance are available for schools, venues or employers that require them.
