Prom Limo

Prom Limo Hire in Seattle, WA

Eight to forty students, one vehicle and a professional chauffeur from the first photograph to the last front door. Strictly alcohol-free charters, a named driver, parent contact all night and one fixed price that splits easily between families.

Quick Answers

The four things parents ask us first about prom night — answered plainly.

How much does a prom limo cost in Seattle?

Prom hire starts at $149 per hour for an 8-passenger stretch limousine, $169 for a 10-passenger Chrysler 300, $229 for a 16-passenger Hummer stretch and $249 for a 20-passenger party bus, with a three to four hour minimum. A five-hour night in a 16-passenger stretch is about $1,145, which is roughly $72 per student.

How many hours should we book for prom?

Five hours covers the standard prom night: pickup at a parent's home, a photograph stop, dinner, the dance itself and the ride home. Four hours works if dinner is skipped, and six hours suits schools whose dance finishes late or groups adding a post-prom breakfast stop.

Is alcohol allowed on a prom limo?

No. Every prom charter we operate is strictly alcohol-free regardless of the vehicle. The bar area is emptied and sealed before pickup, the chauffeur confirms the agreed itinerary with the organising parent, and any attempt to bring alcohol on board ends the booking and triggers a call home.

How far in advance should prom transport be booked?

Six to eight weeks ahead. Prom season in Washington runs from mid-April through early June and most schools in the Seattle, Bellevue and Eastside districts hold their dances on the same handful of Saturdays, so the larger stretch limos and party buses go first.

The Night Students Remember, Run the Way Parents Want

Prom is one evening with a lot of moving parts: photographs at somebody's house, a dinner reservation across town, a dance that finishes late and eight to sixteen teenagers who all live in different directions. Left to a group of newly licensed drivers and a rideshare app at midnight, that is a lot of chances for something to go wrong.

A prom limo removes every one of them. One vehicle collects the whole group, waits through the photo session without anyone checking a clock, holds outside the restaurant, delivers everyone to the venue door and takes each student to their own address at the end of the night. Nobody drives, nobody is stranded and nobody is standing on a dark street looking at a phone.

Behind that is the part parents actually care about. The chauffeur is licensed, background-checked and drug-tested. The charter is alcohol-free with the bar sealed before pickup. The itinerary is agreed with the booking parent in advance, and a message confirms when the last student is home. Ten years and more than 15,000 completed rides across the Puget Sound sit behind that standard.

How a Prom Night Runs

The six movements we plan into almost every prom charter — adjusted to your school's timings.

Photographs First

We collect from one parent's home, wait through the photo session and move on only when everyone is ready.

Dinner Stop

Door drop-off at the restaurant with the chauffeur waiting outside, so no student walks blocks in formalwear.

Arrival at the Dance

Timed arrival at the venue entrance, with the chauffeur parked nearby and reachable for the whole dance.

After the Dance

A confirmed pickup time at the venue door, so nobody waits on a dark kerb or looks for a rideshare.

Multiple Drop-Offs

We take every student to their own front door in the order parents agree, not to a single meeting point.

Confirmation Home

The organising parent receives a message once the last student has been delivered safely.

Prom Limo Questions, Answered

Direct answers to what parents and students ask us most. Anything else, our dispatch desk is staffed 24 hours a day.

Who is allowed to book a prom limo?+
A parent or guardian makes and confirms the reservation, and their name appears on the contract. Students are welcome to choose the vehicle and plan the route, but the booking adult is who we call with any question on the night and who receives the confirmation once everyone is home.
How do you enforce the no-alcohol policy?+
The bar area is emptied and sealed before pickup, the chauffeur walks the cabin at the start of the charter, and bags are not permitted in the bar compartment. If alcohol is found or anyone boards impaired, the chauffeur stops the charter, calls the booking parent immediately and returns the group home. No refund applies in that situation, and parents are told that up front.
Can parents contact the chauffeur during the night?+
Yes. The booking parent receives the chauffeur's first name and a direct dispatch number before prom night, and our desk is staffed 24 hours. We also send a text at the first pickup, at arrival at the dance and once the final student has been dropped home.
Will the limo wait during the dance?+
On hourly bookings the vehicle and chauffeur stay with you for the booked hours, including while the group is inside the dance. Many families instead book a pickup slot at the start and another at the end, which costs less — our dispatch team will tell you honestly which option suits your timings.
Can the group make extra stops for photographs or dinner?+
Of course. Hourly hire is 'as directed', so photo stops at Kerry Park, Gas Works Park or a family home, plus a dinner stop, are all part of the booked time. Tell us the plan when you book and we will build realistic drive times around it.
Does the limo drop everyone at their own house?+
Yes, and we encourage it. We collect the home addresses when the booking is confirmed and the chauffeur works through them in the order parents agree, rather than leaving students at a single meeting point to find their own way home.
What happens if the dance finishes later than expected?+
Call dispatch on (206) 615-5466 and we adjust. If the vehicle has no booking immediately after yours, extra time is added at the same hourly rate. We always recommend booking a slightly later finish than the school's official end time so nobody is rushed.
Are your prom limos licensed and insured?+
Seattle Limo Service is fully licensed in Washington state and every vehicle carries commercial liability insurance. The fleet is inspected, cleaned and sanitized between bookings, and we supply certificates of insurance for schools or venues that require them for a sanctioned event.
Can we decorate the limo or bring our own music?+
Every vehicle has Bluetooth so one student can run the playlist, and sashes, banners and balloons are welcome. Confetti, glitter and anything adhesive are not permitted as they incur a cleaning fee that is charged to the booking parent.
Which schools and areas do you cover for prom?+
All 37 Washington cities we serve, including Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Sammamish, Issaquah, Mercer Island, Renton, Shoreline, Edmonds, Everett, Tacoma and Gig Harbor. Out-of-district venues and post-prom locations are quoted with the travel time included.
