Quick Answers

The four things cruise passengers ask us before sailing day — answered plainly.

What is a Seattle cruise port transfer?

It is a private chauffeured ride between your arrival point — Sea-Tac Airport, a downtown hotel or your home — and the Seattle cruise terminal at Pier 91 Smith Cove or Pier 66 Bell Street. The vehicle carries your party only, every bag is handled by the chauffeur, and the fare is fixed before sailing day.

Which pier does my cruise ship use in Seattle?

Pier 91 at Smith Cove in Magnolia handles Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Carnival and Celebrity sailings. Pier 66 at the Bell Street terminal downtown handles Holland America and Oceania. Give us your cruise line and sailing date and we will confirm the correct pier when you book.

How much is a cruise port transfer in Seattle?

From Sea-Tac Airport to either pier is $99 in an executive sedan, $139 in a premium SUV and $239 in a 14-passenger Sprinter. From a downtown Seattle hotel it is $75 in a sedan and $110 in an SUV. Every fare includes the chauffeur, fuel, tolls, terminal access and luggage handling.

How long does it take to reach the Seattle cruise port?

Allow 35 to 45 minutes from Sea-Tac to Pier 91 and 30 to 40 minutes to Pier 66, and roughly 15 to 20 minutes from a downtown hotel to either terminal. On turnaround Saturdays in Alaska season we build extra margin into the pickup time for Alaskan Way and the Magnolia Bridge approach.

The One Journey Your Cruise Will Not Wait For

Every other part of a holiday has slack in it. This part does not. A ship leaving Smith Cove at 4 p.m. leaves at 4 p.m., and a family standing at Sea-Tac with eight cases while a ride-hailing app quotes surge pricing on an Alaska-season Saturday is a poor way to begin.

So we plan cruise port transfers backwards from your boarding window rather than forwards from the pickup. Dispatch knows how Alaskan Way behaves on turnaround days, how long the Magnolia Bridge approach to Pier 91 takes when four ships are in, and which Sea-Tac door clears fastest when a morning bank of flights lands together. Margin is built in before you ever see a quote.

Afterwards the same applies in reverse. Disembarkation never runs exactly to the printed schedule, so pickups are timed to your luggage tag group with free wait time included, and you reach your flight without the kerbside scramble. Ten years and more than 15,000 completed rides across the Puget Sound sit behind that judgement.

Cruise Port Transfer Questions, Answered

Direct answers to what cruise passengers ask us most. Anything else, our dispatch desk is staffed 24 hours a day.

Where exactly does the chauffeur meet me at Pier 91 or Pier 66?+
At Pier 91 we use the designated passenger pickup lane at Smith Cove, and at Pier 66 the Alaskan Way kerbside zone outside the Bell Street terminal. Your chauffeur texts the exact location and vehicle description once they are on site, and our 24-hour dispatch line connects you in under a minute if the terminal is busy.
What time should I be dropped at the cruise terminal?+
Within the boarding window printed on your cruise documents, which is usually between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. We normally collect downtown hotel guests about 90 minutes before that window opens and Sea-Tac arrivals as soon as bags are clear, leaving comfortable margin for traffic.
What happens if my flight into Seattle is delayed on sailing day?+
We track your flight number from departure, so dispatch knows before you land and adjusts the pickup at no extra charge. If a delay puts your boarding window genuinely at risk we call you with the fastest realistic plan rather than leaving you to guess.
Should I fly into Seattle the day before my cruise?+
We strongly recommend it. A same-day arrival leaves no margin for a mechanical delay or missed connection and ships do not wait. Arriving the night before also lets you book an unhurried hotel-to-pier transfer and, if you like, a short morning layover tour before boarding.
How early can you collect us after disembarkation?+
From about 6:30 a.m., which covers the earliest self-assist walk-offs. Tell us your assigned disembarkation group or luggage tag colour and we time the pickup to match, with free wait time built in because terminals rarely release passengers exactly on schedule.
Can we tour Seattle before boarding or after leaving the ship?+
Yes, and it is one of our most-booked cruise services. A three or four hour layover tour covers Pike Place Market, the waterfront, Kerry Park and the Space Needle while your luggage stays locked in the vehicle, finishing at the pier or Sea-Tac exactly when you need to be there.
Is this a shared shuttle or a private vehicle?+
Every cruise port transfer is a private hire for your party only. There are no other passengers, no additional pickups and no waiting on a terminal kerb for a van to fill — you leave as soon as your bags are loaded.
How much luggage can you carry for a cruise?+
A premium SUV takes six passengers with seven bags, a 14-passenger Sprinter carries full checked luggage for the whole group, and a mini coach seats twenty-four. For large parties we can add a dedicated luggage vehicle so nobody travels with a case on their lap.
Do you provide child seats for family cruise transfers?+
Yes, at no extra charge. Rear-facing, forward-facing and booster seats are fitted and secured before pickup — just give us the children's ages when you book.
How far in advance should I book a cruise port transfer?+
Alaska cruise season runs from roughly May through September and Saturdays are the busiest turnaround days in Seattle. Book two to four weeks ahead for sedans and SUVs, and six to eight weeks ahead for Sprinters, mini coaches and limousines on peak summer sailings.
What is included in the transfer fare?+
Your chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, tolls, terminal access, luggage handling, bottled water and standard wait time. Airport pickups also include live flight tracking plus 60 minutes of complimentary wait time on domestic arrivals and 90 minutes on international arrivals.
Are your vehicles licensed and insured?+
Seattle Limo Service is fully licensed in Washington state and every vehicle carries commercial liability insurance. The fleet is inspected, cleaned and sanitized between bookings, and certificates of insurance are available for group organisers who need them.
